Delta poll: PDP claims 22 LGAs, as DSIEC orders rerun in two councils

Journalist escape death from Delta Commissioner’s aide

By Joseph Igbunu A journalist attached to an online newspaper, National Reformer narrowly escaped death from the hand of an aide to the Commissioner representing Isoko ethnic nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon Oviemuno Oghoore. Notorious kidnapper, Wani killed

The notorious kidnapper, Mr. Don Wani, who masterminded the killing of 23 persons in Omoku in Rivers state,  has been killed. Wani, a suspected militant leader, was confirmed killed in a combined operation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Army at a border town between Rivers and Imo. NNPC for the umpteenth time debunks petrol price increase

For the umpteenth time, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has denied it has a plan to execute an increase in petrol price. In a statement today by spokesman Ndu Ughamadu, the corporation gave assurance to motorists and other consumers of petroleum products that the pump price of petrol remains N143 per litre in NNPC Retail outlets and N145 in other fuel stations.
