Prince Oharisi Emerges Otovwodo-Ughelli Community PG-Elect

Chief of Staff to the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Prince Elvis Oharisi, has emerged as the new President-General elect of Otovwodo -Ughelli Clcommunity in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Prince Oharisi emerged as the community’s new leader following a peaceful and transparent electoral process, succeeding Pst. Solomon Ovigue Ugbarugba, whose tenure was widely acknowledged for efforts aimed at promoting peace, unity and community development.
His emergence has been greeted by community leaders, elders, youths and other stakeholders, that expressed confidence in his ability to build on the achievements of his predecessor and provide purposeful leadership.
Speaking after his emergence, in his acceptance speech, the President-General-elect, Prince Elvis Oharisi, expressed profound gratitude to God and members of the community for the confidence reposed in him through the peaceful election.
He described his victory as “a mandate to serve every son and daughter of Otovwodo with honesty, fairness, transparency and dedication,” pledging to provide inclusive leadership that would unite the community.
He commended the Electoral Committee for conducting what he described as a credible and peaceful exercise, while also praising his fellow contestants for demonstrating maturity and commitment to democracy.
He stressed that with the election concluded, “there are no winners or losers; the true winner is Otovwodo Community,” and extended a hand of fellowship to all contestants and their supporters to work together for the progress of the community.
The President-General-elect outlined his administration’s priorities to include strengthening security, promoting youth and women empowerment, encouraging educational development, improving community infrastructure, enhancing the welfare of residents, and fostering cordial relationships with government agencies, corporate organisations and other stakeholders.
He appealed to elders, youths, women and all residents to support his administration, assuring those who did not vote for him that he would govern without discrimination, favouritism or prejudice.
Calling for reconciliation and unity, Oharisi urged members of the community to embrace peace, love and cooperation as they begin a new chapter.
He pledged to maintain an open-door policy for constructive criticism and fresh ideas, expressing optimism that, with God’s guidance and the collective support of the people, Otovwodo Community would witness greater development, harmony and prosperity.
He pledged to run an open and inclusive administration anchored on transparency, accountability and collective decision-making, assuring residents that peace, security, infrastructural development and youth empowerment would remain top priorities of his leadership.
The new President-General elect also appealed to all contestants and their supporters to close ranks and work together for the progress of the community, stressing that the election had ended and the task of building a more united Otovwodo had begun.
