Oleh Monarch Denies Dissolving CDC

.…Accuses Jubilant Uzuazo Igelige of Misfortune

The Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom and also Isoko Traditional Rulers Council chairman Anthony Williams Onovughe Ovrawah, Omogha 1 has enjoined the general public to disregard any information or publications in the media that he has dissolved the Oleh Community Development Committee (CDC).

In a statement signed by the monarch stated that, “The general public should disregard any publication or information purportedly emanating from the palace with the respect to the dissolution of the Community Development Committee of Oleh”.

According to him, “At no point such decision was taken. The content of any such letter or document undersigned by me is a maliciously induced document.

He reiterated that, “I was told that a document was to be sent to NAOC with respect to the demands of Isoko nation as per the gas turbine project. That was the document brought in front of me by Mr. Jubilant Igelige who maliciously took advantage of my poor sight to smuggle the document of the purported dissolution of the CDC to achieve his selfish goal.

“The document presented before me was not the document I was informed of for the appending of my signature.

The Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom further stated that, the issue between the Community Development Committee and other parties is currently being adjudicated in court of competent jurisdiction.

He added that, the Community Development Committee was formed by him in conjunction with the entire community with enlarged interest of all sections of the communities present at the inauguration of the members, noting that at such, decision concerning dissolution must first be ratified at a meeting of the entire community.

“My sight presently is not in good condition, I have difficulty in seeing in recent time and as such, individuals taking advantage of my sight challenges should not be entertained with frivolous publications”.
