Ewu-Urhobo Youth Association Unveils Vision For Unity, Empowerment And Community Development

 

The Ewu-Urhobo Youth Association has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity, youth empowerment and sustainable development across Ewu communities, with particular attention to underserved grassroots and riverine areas.

According to the leadership of the association, the group was established to serve as a platform for mobilising Ewu youths towards meaningful participation in community development while fostering peace, progress and collective responsibility.

The President-General of the association, Comrade Ehiegueke Emmanuel, and the Public Relations Officer, Engr. Obukadeta E. Joseph, said the association’s primary objective is to empower young people through skills acquisition, education, mentorship and access to opportunities that will enable them to become self-reliant and productive members of society.

They also pledged to champion initiatives that will attract development projects to Ewu communities, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare and improved social amenities.

The association stressed the importance of unity among Ewu people, noting that peaceful coexistence and collaboration remain essential for achieving lasting growth and development across the kingdom.

Another key focus of the group is ensuring that development reaches all parts of Ewu land, especially the riverine communities, which it described as deserving greater attention and inclusion in government and private sector interventions.

The association further stated that it seeks to strengthen youth representation by creating a platform through which the voices and interests of Ewu youths can be effectively represented in matters affecting their future.

To achieve its vision, the Ewu-Urhobo Youth Association expressed readiness to partner with government agencies, community leaders, private organisations and development partners committed to the advancement of Ewu Kingdom.

The leadership also called on Ewu youths at home and in the diaspora to unite behind the association’s vision of building a peaceful, prosperous and progressive Ewu community through collective effort and shared responsibility.
