Nigeria Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed that the APC led administration is committed to to infrastructural development and nation building for the common man in the street.

He made this statement on the occasion of the flagging off ‘Tradermoni’ empowerment scheme for market women at the palace of the Ovie of Ughelli kingdom, HRM,  Dr. Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking, Osinbajo said, “We are here for the beginning of the enumera of tradersmoni scheme and the disbursement will start in January, 2019.
“The determination of the federal government of Nigeria is to ensure that the common man in the streets is the focus of our government and the young people who would want to create job opportunities.
“We have decided as a government to build this country and that is the determination of the government and not the one that the people’s money is stolen and put in private pockets.
“Today we are earning 60 percent less,  yet we are spending on building infrastructures than any other government in the country.
Today, N2.7trn is what we are spending on building infrastructures, the East/ West road Lagos Port Harcourt Calabar railway, the second Niger Bridge, which we are completing and the Warri/Itakpe railway that is completed after 35-years ago when it was started because you cannot build a country without infrastructures.
“Our school feeding program is one of our social investment program and am sure that in Delta State we are feeding about 400,000 children everyday. The Npower is a graduates employment program and we have 18,000 person engaged in the state.
“The question which we are asking the previous government is where were they, what did they do with all the money, if we are still building today Warri/Itakpe railway after 35-years it was started.
“We want to build this government by ensuring that we run an honest government”. The vice president upheld.
Earlier in his address, the Ovie of Ughelli kingdom, Oharisi III,  applauded the effort the the federal government for appointing an Urhobo son, Dr. Samuel Adjogbe into the NDDC Board as the Executive Director of Projects.
The royal father disclosed that through that board, Niger/Delta region has benefitted immensely from the Buhari administration in terms of development.
He however appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to elevate Adjogbe position to the Managing Director of  NDDC, since the current MD will be contesting for governorship position in Akwa-Ibom state in 2019 elections.
