A group, Civil Right Council, CRC, Delta state chapter has called on legislators from Delta state in particular to sponsor bills that are beneficial to the state and it’s people.

According to the chairman of CRC Delta state, Comrade Agbubi Emmanuel, “We need bills to revive DSC plant, Bendel Glass, and the full establishment of Okwagbe Seaport and not institutions without employment opportunities after graduating from them.

Agbubi said,  “Delta State has over 20 higher institutions, FG, State & Private but no major industry to absorbs graduates yet almost all Federal Lawmakers attention are on bills for more institutions leaving:

DSC plant,
Bendel Glass,
Okwagbe Seaport,

No bill for any industry to enhance standard of living.

“Our undergraduates are schooling through their nose even by involving in illegal deals like; robbering, kidnapping, Yahoo, prostitution to foot their bills. While graduates becoming more sophisticated in the above crimes. No avenue to contribute their intelligent quota to society building.

“Mr Senators and Reps, we need bills to revive DSC plant, Bendel Glass, and the full establishment of Okwagbe Seaport to give direct and indirect employments and generate fund for the government not more institutions that saps our poor economy. Educational institutions is part of recurrent expenditure reducing capital expenditures.

The fact is that this government mostly the Federal Government gives Delta state great hope to restore her lost glory.
