Two Years At NASS: Urhobo Monarchs Applaud Waive For Effective Representation

Monarchs from Ughelli North, South and Udu federal constituency have applauded Hon. Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive the member representing them at the National Assembly for quality representation.

The commendation was given at the palace of the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, when the lawmaker was briefing  the Urhobo Kings and the President Generals of the 14 kingdoms he represents on his two years in office at the National Assembly in Ughelli South local government area of Delta state.

The Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, HRM Dr. Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, who spoke for the monarchs said, “We want to commend you for the type of quality representation you have given to your people.

“We have not seen this type of quality representation over the years, and we are appealing that you double your efforts at the national Assembly, because if you had not done this, you would not have been able to bring us together to give your stewardship account on your midterm.

Rev. Waive while giving his midterm stewardship account said, “June 11, 2021 will be my second anniversary at the National Assembly and I have come to thank our kings, president generals, elders, women and youths of the 14 kingdoms that I am representing for their continued support and prayers for me in the last two years.

“Though it has not been easy with me because I have 16 court cases but I am grateful that the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has been so supportive.

“My representation has been different because I am not always sitting at Abuja only, but I do come home to interact with my people to know their pains, and needs and their reception has been very encouraging and wonderful.

“So far we have gotten light restored in over 14 communities that are off the national grid for the past 10 years, and we are going to ensure that before my tenure ends, all communities in my constituency are connected to the national grid.

“We have donated over 12 transformers and installed street lights to a number of communities, we have facilitated the enlistment of my constituents into the various security force and many more. And for the next two years, we will be concentrating on the wards in my constituency in other to bring the dividends of democracy to the grassroots”.
