The General Overseer of Evidence of Truth Bible Ministry, Ughelli, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ovie J. Ibuje has been suspended indefinitely by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN), Ughelli North chapter over an alleged rudeness and neglect for the constitution of the body.
The statement for Ibuje indefinite suspension was signed by members of the Advisory Board, amongst, Bishop (Dr.) Chris Okoh, Bishop (Dr.) Diamond Emuobo, Bishop (Dr) A. B. IIem, Bishop (Dr) Pius Onephrojire, Pst. Edwin Igometi, Rev. Dr. Israel Unutame, Rev. Dr. Thomas Akatika, Rev. Dr. Samuel JP, Rev. Dr. Emman Eredoro Chairman of the Advisory Board and Pst. Mereh O. Wariri, Secretary respectively.
According to the statement, Rev. Dr. Ovie Ibuje violated articles 9and 13 of the constitution of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and article 3 of the PFN Delta Bye-Laws which established the Advisory Board and from the Board derives its functions and powers.
“Having refused to honour the invitation of the Advisory Council and having countered the same invitation with an insulting write-up, you have failed to sustain among others, good character and this misdemeanor is contrary to article 3 (Aims and Objectives) of the constitution of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.
“In view of your violation in nos 1-4 above and having been judged to be RUDE and UNDISCIPLINED based on the write-up you addressed to the Advisory Council, you are therefore been suspended from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, indefinitely in accordance with section 18 of the Bye-laws.
“And by this suspension, you cease to be a member of PFN, you cease to be the LGA Public Relations Officer, PRO and you cease to be the vice chairman of Ughelli North East Unit”. The statement affirmed.
