Oharisi Condoles Nigeria Police Over Slain Officer

Member representing Ughelli North Constituency II, at the Delta State House of Assembly, Prince Eric Oharisi has condole with the Nigeria Police Force over death of one of its finest officer that was killed by ENDSARS protesters in, Ughelli, Ughelli North local government area of the state.

In a statement yesterday, Oharisi who condole the Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command, particularly the Ughelli A’ Division and the immediate family to bear the lost described the act of the protesters as barbaric.

He said, “As protests continue to spread against the operations of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS nationwide, I condemned the shooting and killing of a policeman in Ughelli and I am also urging the protesters in my immediate constituency to shield their sword and let peace reign in Ughelli kingdom.

“While I condole with those that have lost their lives, the injured, we must allow peace reign and shun taking the laws into our hands. As the state House of Assembly has waded into the disturbance with a view to calm all nerves down.

The lawmaker advised people of the constituency particularly the youths to go about their legitimate businesses as the situation has been brought under control as relevant security agencies and stakeholders have moved into the matter for a lasting solution.

“While I would not want to interfere, I am appealing to the police authorities to release all those arrested during the protest”.
