Nigeria At 59: Askia Preaches Unity, Peace, One Nigeria, Stronger Delta Vision

The Managing Director/CEO of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Bashorun Askia Ogieh (FCNA, CrFA) has joined millions of Nigerians home and abroad to celebrate its 59th Independence Anniversary.

Speaking to Newsmen in DESOPADEC Headquarters, Warri, Askia stressed the need for us to believe in the Nigeria Project and enjoined all to work for the Peace, Progress and Unity of One indivisible Nigeria.

He admonishes the indelible achievements of the Gov. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa led administration in keeping to his promises of Prosperity to All Deltans which has culminated to a Stronger Delta Agenda that is yielding positive results and asked Deltans from all walks of life to support and pray for the Okowa administration.

The UDU of Isoko Nation, as newly conferred on him by the entire Isoko Traditional Council, ascribed the successes recorded so far by DESOPADEC to the love Gov. Okowa has for the Oil bearing Communities and promised to deliver more meaningful projects as the Commission collates the essential needs of Oil Producing Communities arising from the Town Hall Meetings of the mandate areas.
