The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state in particular and the country in general on the celebration of the 2021 Eid-el-kabir.

In a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu, the Speaker prayed for an end to insecurity challenges in the country just as he implored Deltans to continue to pray for the administration of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

According to the Statement; “I wish to felicitate with our Islamic faithful in Delta State in particular and in the country in general on the celebration of the 2021 Eid-el-kabir. I want to sincerely implore our Muslim faithful to use this festival to pray for an end to insecurity challenges across the Country because the situation is becoming more worrisome than before”.

“However, we should not despair about the situation in our country today, but we should continue to have hope that better days are ahead for the nation and the people. Our current situation in the country will end in praise and so we must not relent in our prayers for our nation”, he said.

While saying that the festival should be used to promote love, togetherness and peace amongst the people , Rt Hon Oborevwori advised Nigerians to continue to make sacrifices for the betterment of the country.

“Let me also use this opportunity to commend Deltans for their support for the administration of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and to urge them not to relent in their prayers for his administration so that more dividends of democracy can be achieved in the State for the good of all of us”, he said.
