Covid-19: Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon Distributes Hand Sanitizers To People Of Olomu Kingdom

As part of efforts to support the proactive measures put in place by the Delta State Government in curtailing the spread of the novel Corona Virus pandemic, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon, Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Development has donated hand sanitizers to the people of Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Presenting the hand sanitizers, Prince Sony stated that contrary to the erroneous belief that it is a sickness of the white man, the Covid-19 dreaded Virus is real.

He called on the people of Olomu Kingdom to ensure they follow the instructions given by medical experts by washing their hands with soap and running water and the hand sanitizer as the corona virus can be contacted through hand shaking, touching of the eyes and staying close to those who are infected. He urged then to abide by the social distancing being echoed by the various concern bodies all over the world.

On the stay at home order given by the government, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon noted that it is not meant to punish Deltans but rather to protect the lives and property of Deltans.

He called on them to adhered strictly to the rules as the virus has no friend, disclosing that the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is working round the clock to ensure the deadly virus is prevented from entering and possibly spreading through the state.

The Special Assistant on Youth Development further charged the general public to be prayerful and committed to him especially at this time and seek for God divine intervention.

Receiving the sanitizers, some of the recipients who spoke to our reporters appreciated Prince Sony Ogbon for the taking Olomu Kingdom to thought.
