Covid 19: PHEW Foundation International Sensitizes Deltans On Compliance Towards Preventive Measures

UDU- DELTA STATE- The Director-General, PHEW Foundation International, Engr. Uche Chigbo has caution Deltans on the need to adhere to the World Health Organization’s Preventive measures towards overcoming COVID-19 global Pandemic, while stating that the deadly disease if not nipped in the bud, is capable of destroying nations.

Director General of PHEW FOUNDATION Int’l, Engr. Uche Chigbo made this Statement during the NGO’s sensitization visit to Obogo market in Udu Local Govt Area, Delta State on good hygiene and strict compliance to the “Sit at home order” given by the Government.

Engr Uche Queen Chigbo emphasized the importance of self isolation by demonstrating how one carrier can spread it to thousands of people if allowed to mingle with them.

According to her, the virus can be transmitted by physical contact with a carrier or through inhalation from a sneezing, coughing or spitting carrier.

She then enjoined all not to be afraid but to practise good hygiene, wash hands regularly with soap and flowing water and also make use of sanitizers.

In her words: “I also enjoined them to avoid crowded areas so as to reduce person to person transmission”.

“I encourage them not be worried about the initial stress they will face due to the temporary closure of their shops, Engr. Chigbo noted that it was for their own good. A healthy man according to her, will definitely be able to make money again”.

“On behalf of the NGO, I appreciates the Delta state Government led by Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Federal government for their prompt response in initiating measures aimed at preventing the epidemic from escalating”.

“I Admonish all well meaning NGOs and wealthy Nigerians to contribute to this worthy cause, I commend the Lagos State government and all others who have contributed their quota towards dis noble cause, appealing to all and sundry to come out en masses to support the Federal Government’s efforts aimed at cushioning the negative effects of the pandemic”.
