Consider Orogun Youths For Appointment, Osademe Appeals To Gov Okowa

Civil Right Activist Comrade Osademe Joseph Otuyene has appealed to Delta State Governor, Sen Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to consider youths from Orogun for appointment into his cabinet.

Osademe, a faithful of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, made this appeal at a press briefing in Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

According to him, “Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa should consider Orogun youths particularly those who has supported and staked their lives for the party PDP before, during, and after the 2019 general elections.

While congratulating Okowa for his second term inauguration, he drew his attention to the non inclusion of Orogun youths in his numerous appointment in the last four years.

“First and foremost, I want to personally congratulate His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on his inauguration as governor for a second term and it gladdens my heart that the progress made by his administration in the last four years will continue.

“I want to appreciate the Governor for his developmental strides across the nooks and crannies of the state.

“I want to use this medium to draw the attention of the Youth Friendly Governor; Sen Ifeanyi Okowa to non inclusion of Orogun youths in his numerous appointments.

“The youths are the largest age group in Orogun, yet they are deprived of voice and influence in matters to do with the State, Orogun youths have never had it so good in the history of governance in Delta state.
We have been isolated from the mainstream political and economic relevance for long, giving us no chance to take charge of our lives.

“So sad that in the last four years, the youngest political appointee of the state governor in Orogun is above 50years of age whereas we have agile PDP youths who have the capacity to organize themselves to solve problems of common interest.

“We the youths of Orogun contributed immensely on our own part to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa re-election victory, despite tempting offers from the opposition, we refused to be compromised, all in a bid to enhance the continuation of the SMART Agenda.

“Orogun are working vigorously for the progress of Delta state government on pro bono basis, therefore I want to appeal to His Excellency, the Ekwueme of Delta state to consider us in terms of appointments, empowerments, employments and other benefits in his government because we need a sense of inclusion in governance so that our interest can be protected.”

Comrade Osademe Otuyene Joseph assured the governor that Orogun youths will always stand by him and would continue to contribute their quotas to ensure that the existing peace and progress in the state is firmly adhere to and sustained.
