Anambra CP Nnanna Oji Ama Commends Security Personnel After First Lady’s Visit

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, has commended officers and men of the Command and personnel of sister security agencies for their professionalism and effective coordination during the visit of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, to the state.

The First Lady visited Anambra on Thursday, September 10, 2026, with the police commissioner describing the peaceful and successful outcome of the engagement as a product of deliberate inter-agency collaboration and effective security planning.

CP Nnanna Oji Ama, in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said timely information-sharing, strategic deployment and disciplined execution of operational responsibilities by the participating security and safety agencies contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.

He particularly praised security personnel deployed for the visit for maintaining a high level of vigilance, alertness and professionalism throughout the exercise.

According to him, the seamless coordination among the various agencies was critical to ensuring the safety of the First Lady, other participants and members of the public.

The commissioner also commended the Anambra State Government, traditional and community leaders, as well as other stakeholders, for their cooperation and orderly conduct during the visit.

CP Nnanna Oji Ama assured residents of the state that the command would sustain its current level of operational synergy and proactive security coordination.

He further pledged to strengthen intelligence-led policing, inter-agency cooperation and strategic deployment to safeguard lives and property and ensure the security of major public engagements across the state.
