Former APC Campaign Coordinator in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Olorogun Theo Mukoro, has abandoned his political godfather, Senator Ovie OmoAgegeTheo Mukoro Backs Oborevwori, Urges APC To Unite For Delta’s Progress and declared unwavering support for Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to embrace unity and work with the governor in advancing the state’s MORE Agenda.
Mukoro made the declaration in a statement after meeting with Governor Oborevwori, describing the audience as a rare privilege and an opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to collaborate with the governor and the APC for the overall development of Delta State.
He dismissed insinuations that his decision was motivated by personal ambition, insisting that his actions were driven solely by the desire to rescue his community from years of neglect.
According to him, “Ofuoma and the wider Ughelli North area have continued to suffer despite consistently delivering overwhelming electoral support, cthe deteriorating condition of the state-owned College of Health Technology, Ofuoma, as example of the consequences of political disunity.
Mukoro held that continued divisions within the political leadership of the area had cost the Ofuoma community dearly, and we can no longer afford to remain divided while critical infrastructure and institutions deteriorated.
Describing the governor’s decision to work with him as both strategic and divinely inspired, Mukoro said he considered the confidence reposed in him a privilege he would not take for granted.
He also reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, as he had remained committed to the party since joining it nine years ago during what he described as a carnival-like reception attended by party leaders at the state and local government levels.
My defection to the APC nine years ago was facilitated by prominent party leaders, including Ughelli North Local Government Chairman, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, and maintained that he had since served the party with dedication and sacrifice.
He further disclosed that he served as APC Local Government Coordinator for the presidential, senatorial and governorship elections over the past eight years, leading campaigns that produced victories in all six elective positions contested in the last two election cycles within the local government.
Appealing for reconciliation within the party, Mukoro urged both founding and new members of the APC to close ranks and support the new political alignment for the benefit of the people.
Declaring his support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori MORE AGENDA, Mukoro said, “No one withdraws a winning General from the battlefield,” and our party leaders must combine their strengths to deliver bloc votes for the APC instead of remaining politically divided.
He warned that failure to unite could leave Ughelli North isolated from both the state and federal governments, thereby prolonging the neglect of the community for another four years.
Mukoro urged party faithful not to allow personal interests to override the collective good, assuring them that he would continue to provide quality representation while remaining loyal to the ideals and leadership of the APC.
He sued for unity among the people of Ughelli North, Delta State and Nigeria, declaring that all citizens remain ‘One People under God.’
