ADC PRIMARIES: Aduvie Floors Rivals, Clinches Ughelli North II Ticket With 3,142 Votes

 

Ovwreghederohwo Richard has emerged as the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Ughelli North Constituency II, after securing a landslide victory in the party’s primary election.

Richard popularly known as Aduvie, polled 3,142 votes to defeat other aspirants and secure the party’s ticket ahead of the forthcoming general election in 2027.

Announcing the results, the electoral committee stated that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the party’s guidelines and accurately reflected the will of the delegates across the constituency.

Speaking shortly after his declaration, Richard described his victory as a triumph for democracy and the people of Ughelli North Constituency II, pledging to run an inclusive campaign focused on development, youth empowerment and improved representation.

He commended party members and supporters for their confidence in his leadership and urged aggrieved aspirants to close ranks and work together for the success of the ADC in the election.

According to him, “The primary election has demonstrated the strength and growing acceptance of the party in the constituency, expressing optimism that the ADC would emerge victorious at the polls.”

While assuring his loyalists and supporters that ADC will clear all political offices in the forthcoming general elections, he urged Deltans to cast their votes for the ADC candidates.

According to him, his emergence as the ADC standard-bearer is expected to reshape the political landscape in Ughelli North Constituency II as political parties intensify preparations for the election.
