Nurses want state of emergency in health sector

The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Federal Health Institution Sector (NANNM-FHI), have called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the health sector. President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with members of the National Council of traditional rulers and decried the way the Paris Club Refund was spent by some state governors. The Federal government had on May 4 released details of the second tranche of Paris Club refund to States totalling N243. 795 billion. Nigeria’s domestic debt hits N19.63 trillion, says DMO

Nigeria’s public debt stock for both the Federal Government and the states as at June 30 stood at N19.63 trillion, the Debt Management Office (DMO) said. The DMO, according to  a report on its website said the external debt stock of both the state and Federal governments  was N4.6 trillion,  while the domestic debt stock of the Federal Government was N12 trillion. UN bans North Korea’s textile export

The United Nations Security Council unanimously slammed on Monday fresh sanctions against North Korea, including a ban on the country’s textile exports and a cap on  imports of crude oil.
