Akpom scores as Arsenal hammer Boreham Wood 4-0

Nigerian-born striker, Chuba Akpom, scored for an Arsenal selected XI side that beat English National League side Boreham Wood 4-0, in a pre-season friendly at Meadow Park on Thursday. Gunners boss sent out a mixture of their U-23 and U-18 players and also had the likes of Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Jeff Reine-Adelaide in the team. Senate approves $1.806b Chinese loan for rail projects

The Senate yesterday approved part of the 2016-2018 External Borrowing Plan pertaining to the Lagos, Kano railway modernisation project (Lagos-Ibadan segment double track). The upper chamber also endorsed the World Bank-supported reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Northeast at $1.806 billion. Many injured, six houses razed as communities clash in Delta
