Uwheru: Herdsmen Attack Students, Injure Security Guard In Ohoror Community

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have attacked and injured two students of Ohoror Secondary school and a security guard in Ohoror community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The students and security guard, Lucky Alakpa, Osusu Apor, Jekins Ekwa, attacked at the school premise are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital within the local government.
According to sources, “The Fulani herdsmen invaded the school premises immediately after closure and some of the students who were behind were attacked with the gateman.
A community source who spoke on anonymous condition disclosed that at about a week ago they attempted to invade our community but they were chased back and just yesterday, Wednesday, they came and injured our children and the security guard attached to the school.
“They are currently receiving treatment in one of the hospitals in the area and we have equally notified the government about the incident.”

When contacted the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright said, “I am not aware yet, I will find out.”
But a senior security source attached Ughelli Area command who confirmed the incident said,
“Suspected Fulani herdsmen attack Ohoror Grammar school and the names of the victims are, Lucky Alakpa, Osusu Apor, Jekins Ekwa.”
