Sapele Council Boss, Inoaghan Donates Three 500KVA Transformers To Communities

The joy of residents of old Eku road, Amukpe community, Iriabome, Elume community and Okuodede, Ozue community in Sapele local government area of Delta State knew no bound on Sunday 2nd October, 2022 as they received three 500 KVA transformers, one respectively for each community to boost power supply in their areas.

The council chairman Chief Eugene Inoaghan said that his administration decided to donate the transformers to the three communities to ameliorate their light issue.

It was learnt that some of the communities have been in darkness for years because their transformer were bad and obsolete.

According to Inoaghan, “The essence of governance was to bring succor to the people and these transformers were part of his electoral promises to the communities.

“I decided to give these communities first, because their light issue were more pressing, and I am not stopping at these, my administration will endeavour to extend the gesture to other communities in Sapele local government area from time to time.

“The donation was to restore light to the affected communities which has been in darkness for sometime, stressing that with adequate power supply, youths in the area would be engaged in meaningful ventures

 

“My administration will continue to embark on cogent programmes and project that will put smiles on the faces of our people. Already, we have recorded laudable achievements in education as can be seen in the Sapele Council primary school, infrastructure, and recently we embark on the rehabilitation of the Sapele Warri road, Amukpe roundabout amongst others, he added.”

Mr Felix Ayemidejor, Secretary to the local government council while handing over the transformers to the various communities appealed to the beneficiaries to see the transformers as their personal property and protect the equipment. The transformer should not be used to extort money from residents he caution.

Mr Matthew Akogba thanked the council boss for giving them something to rejoice over, saying we have been in darkness for some time,Eugene Inoaghan has given us a new ray of hope by providing us with transformer, he said.
