IMMEDIATE past chairperson of Afiesere Christian Fellowship, ACF, and senior Pastor of House of Love Bible Church, Rev Dr. (Mrs) Mercy Otuokena has bagged an Honorary Doctorate Degree from United States of America, Rescue Mission Theological University, RMTU.
The institution, in conjunction with Rescue Mission Ministerial Alliance, (RMMA) also awarded the clergy an Ambassadorial award in an event held at House of Love Bible Church, Afiesere in Ughelli North local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Rev. Prof Greg Stevens, “The Degree and Ambassadorial award are given to extra-ordinary person and people who have excel in their various field of endeavour that has done beyond normal and extra level.
She deserved this award because of her zealy services in the vine yard of the Lord and today, she is not just a pastor but a General Overseer, G.O, who is having her own work that God has committed in her hands.
“We also gave her an ambassadorial award so she can represent the University, we have seen what she has done and her works and we know she would not take the name of the school to mould.”
