FUPRE VC Rewards Performing Staff, Urges Others To Emulate Him

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, FUPRE, Uvwie local government area of Delta State, has rewarded a committed and dedicated senior staff of the institution, Mr. Lawrence Oladiti, an award of excellence.

Presenting the award to Oladiti, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, said his administration will continue to reward dedicated, committed and excellence performance and advised non dedicate staff to be committed to duty to avoid the reverse of excellence.

Rim-Rukeh disclosed that Lawrence Oladiti has shown a lot commitment and dedication towards his primary assignment in the accounting department since he assumed office as the Vice Chancellor of the institution.

He noted that Oladiti was particularly enthused by his real ability to meet targets, despite obvious challenges, and urged him to sustain his spartan spirit so that others in the University can emulate his devotion to work.

Rim-Rukeh said, “This new administration will reward excellence performance and also punish non performing staff. We are going to create a hall of fame and shame in this institution, hence l want to enjoined all to show serious commitment to their work.

Responding to the award, the recipient, Mr Lawrence Oladiti on his part said he was shocked and surprised that the institution and Vice Chancellor find him worthy of this award, saying that he thought he was just doing his duty the way he should do it since that was what he was employed for.

He promised the Vice Chancellor, Prof Rim-Rukeh and the institution that he will continue to do his job with dedication and thanked the management for this recognition and award of excellence.

Prof Theresa Egbuchunam who also spoke at the award ceremony, commended Oladiti for his excellence performance and dedication to duty, saying that his recognition is not by opportunity but one well deserved ad the most outstanding staff of not just this month but for the year.

The Acting Registrar of the Institution, Mr Sunday Aniyikaye in his vote of thanks commended the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rim-Rukeh for this award ceremony for a deserving staff for distinguishing himself among others, saying that this was the first time this institution is witnessing a ceremony of this kind and urged the recipient to continue in the same spirit.
