Delta Vigilante Chairman Killed, For Killing A Colleague At Burial Event

TENSION is currently high in Ughevwuhe community as the vigilante chairman was allegedly beaten to death for killing his colleague at burial ceremony in the community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta state.
It was gathered the deceased vigilante chairman, identified as Lucky was shooting sporadically at burial ceremony of a chief priest when one of the bullets hits his colleague, Mr Emmanuel whose surname could not be ascertained.
According to sources, There was a burial ceremony of the community Chief Priest and the vigilante chairman came and started shooting, in the process a stray bullet hits another vigilante person, Emmanuel.
“He died immediately from the gun shot and his family members mobilized to the house of the vigilante chairman, where he was beaten to death as retaliation.
Though, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright could not be contacted but a senior security source from the State Police Command confirm the incident.
The security source said, “They were in a burial, the vigilantes chairman, Lucky (full name not known) shot sporadically and a bullet hit a fellow member of the vigilantes, Emmanuel.
“This resulted in the death of Emmanuel and consequently the family of Emmanuel mobilized and beat up the vigilantes chairman Lucky to death.
“There is tension in the are and  police have been drafted to the community in other to restore peace.” The anonymous security source revealed.
