Delta Has Talents To Win National Sports Festival – Delta Lawmaker

THE immediate past Deputy Leader, Ughelli South Legislative Arm, RT. Hon. Kenneth Ogbon has said that Delta State has a pool of talents to continue to win the National Sports Festival.

The lawmaker stated this during the Inter House Sports competition of Akperhe Olomu Secondary School where Ogbon House came first.

Ogbon who chaired the ceremony was amazed at the raw talents waiting to be tapped from the event.

According to him, “I am not surprised by what I have seen today because Delta State has talents, we have enough to win the National Sports Festival.

“What you see today is in line with the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s agenda of MORE, we have discovered more talents today.

“God has blessed Nigeria with talented people, we are going to build on the success of today, the Governor will be happy that more talents are being discovered.” Ogbon stated.

On his part, Akperhe Olomu Secondary School Principal, Hope Akpogheneobo said, “I am happy that we have been able to host the second edition of the sports competition. I want to thank our C.I.E, I want to thank the Chairman and the community for standing by us.

“We have great talents here, we have future stars and leaders. I want government to look into supporting these talents.

“Our school is a new one, it needs fencing, laboratories equipment required for WAEC recognition. The community leaders have been very supportive. We need more attention from the state.” He added.
