Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, , on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his coronation.
In a congratulatory message issued on Wednesday, Dafinone described the monarch’s two decades on the throne as a period of purposeful, peaceful and visionary leadership that has brought unity, stability and remarkable progress to Okpe Kingdom.
Speaking on behalf of the Dafinone family, the people of Delta Central Senatorial District and the Urhobo nation, the senator said the anniversary was a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the monarch’s unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of his kingdom.
“Under Your Majesty’s wise and exemplary reign, Okpe Kingdom has witnessed significant economic and political advancement, stronger traditional institutions, increased national relevance, and sustained peace and harmony,” Dafinone said.
He noted that the monarch’s fatherly leadership had continued to unite the people, attract meaningful development and elevate the prestige of Okpe Kingdom within and beyond Delta State.
The lawmaker joined sons and daughters of Okpe Kingdom, the Urhobo nation and other well-wishers in thanking God for preserving the monarch over the past 20 years.
He prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom, strength and many more fruitful years on the throne, expressing confidence that the Orodje’s reign would remain a symbol of peace, cultural pride and sustainable development for generations to come.
“Congratulations, Your Majesty, on this memorable 20th Coronation Anniversary. May your reign continue to inspire hope, unity and progress for our people,” Dafinone said.
He concluded the message with the traditional Urhobo salutation: “Umogun! Umogun!! Umogun!!! WU NE SU TOR, WU NA RE TOR.”
