Sen Dafinone Celebrates Joe Omene At 80, Hails His Service To Urhobo Nation

 

Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated former President-General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Chief Engr. Joe Omene, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, describing him as an exemplary leader whose contributions to the Urhobo Nation remain enduring.

In a goodwill message issued on Saturday, Dafinone said Omene’s life has been defined by dedication, selfless service and unwavering commitment to the preservation of Urhobo culture, identity and values. He noted that the former UPU president-general provided purposeful leadership at a critical period in the history of the Urhobo people.

The senator commended Omene’s efforts in promoting the unity, progress and dignity of the Urhobo Nation, saying his years of service have earned him the respect and admiration of the people.

“As Chief Engr. Joe Omene celebrates this remarkable milestone of 80 years, we honour his wisdom, courage and sacrifices in advancing the collective aspirations of the Urhobo people. His exemplary life continues to inspire younger generations to embrace unity, integrity and community service,” Dafinone said.
