NdokwaForward Hails Oborevwori On N29.8bn Aboh-Akarai Road, Bridge Groundbreaking

The NdokwaForward socio-political movement has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, ahead of the official groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 10.8-kilometre Aboh–Akarai Road and a 100-metre bridge across the Okiri River in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state.

The group described the N29.8 billion project as a landmark infrastructural intervention that would significantly transform the socio-economic fortunes of Ndokwa Nation and improve connectivity across several riverine communities.

In a welcome message signed by Rt. Hon. Samuel Osasa, Omordi Dr. George Ugbomah, and Chief Isaac Onyesom, the stakeholders praised Governor Oborevwori for prioritizing the long-awaited project, noting that it would address decades of transportation and accessibility challenges in the area.

According to them, the road and bridge project represents a major milestone in the development of Ndokwa East and would open up economic opportunities for residents, particularly in the areas of trade, agriculture, and rural development.

They stated that communities within the axis had suffered mobility constraints for years due to poor road infrastructure, adding that the project would ease movement of goods and people while fostering greater social and economic integration.

The stakeholders also noted that the initiative aligns with the vision of the NdokwaForward movement, which supports the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the development-driven policies of the Oborevwori administration.

They said the project reflects the governor’s commitment to equitable infrastructural development across all parts of Delta State, especially underserved riverine communities.

Residents and community leaders in the area have continued to express optimism over the project, describing the planned groundbreaking ceremony as a historic moment for Ndokwa Nation and a clear demonstration of responsive governance.

The flag-off ceremony, expected to be performed by Governor Oborevwori in Aboh, is anticipated to attract top government officials, political leaders, traditional rulers, stakeholders, and residents from across the state.
