A yet to be identified tipper driver has crushed mother and daughter to death in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learned the unidentified deceased victims were returning from medical checkup when the incident occurred between High Court and Ughelli ‘A’ division.
According to sources they were returning from Central Hospital after a medical checkup and the motorcycle they boarded overtook a tipper and the next thing we saw was the accident between Ughelli police station and the court.
“The tipper crushed the mother and child to death and the motorcycle rider who carried them was untouched in the whole thing, it was like magic.
“The Okada man over took and entered front of tipper in a reckless situation and it happened suddenly at the front of Police staton.”
Another source who disclosed that the husband of the deceased was with them jumped from the bike before the incident occurred.
“The husband of the woman who jumped from the bike sustained injuries but the wife and the daughter could not survive the incident as they were pronounced dead instantly.
The motorcycle rider was immediately detained along side the tipper with registration number: Delta UGH 813-AR.
“The tipper driver who earlier escaped from the scene was later arrested and detained at the Ughelli Area Command.
