Ex-Agitator and Street Coordinator for peace across the Niger Delta and Third Phase beneficiary of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has dismissed allegations of corruption and mismanagement against the program coordinator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
In the same vein, a group under the aegis of Niger Delta Brave Hearts United Movement Ex-Agitators Forum, has equally condemned in strong terms trumped up allegations of corruption and mismanagement against the Administrator Otuaro. Describing the so-called group of Niger Delta Concern Youth for Change as faceless and non-existence.
In a statement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, signed by its leader Gen’. Abiri Stanley, Faceless, absolved Otuaro of any wrong doing, since assumption of office a year ago.
Gen. Abiri said, “The stage managed protest at the premises of the EFCC, on July 17, 2025, through an arrangement of some disgruntled youths falls sort of any credibility and it clearly showed that the protest was stage managed and a sponsored one.
According to him, “The baseless allegations canvassed by the unknown group, was illegally conceived and a calculated attempt to distract Otuaro from delivering on its transformative agenda for the Amnesty Programme.
It further noted that, the paid group of demonstrators are not beneficiaries of the program, therefore, we asked, what is their interest, and who are they fighting for, if not for and better condition for beneficiaries, he queried?
He also took a slammed on the circulated video and its spokesman of the group Mr. Adebayo Ogorry, as not a beneficiary of PAP, and also those protestants were non-Niger Deltans, but were paid up in Abuja for the show of shame, he said.
The freedom fighter appealed to the Chairman of EFCC Mr. Olukayode to ignore the false allegations against Otuaro, adding that they are untrue. Therefore, he called on the EFCC boss to investigate the so-called group and their sponsors for disturbing public peace and character assassination of Otuaro.
He was of the view that since assumption of office, Otuaro has displayed high level commitment on his vision for PAP, which includes prompt payment of monthly stipend, scholarship for PAP delegates, inclusiveness of all stakeholders in Niger Delta, scholarship for PAP delegates students and impacted communities, correction and payment of previously non-aligned people with BVN issues, ongoing empowerment training for camp leaders, also ongoing vocational training and rehabilitation of PAP delegates.
Therefore, in the light of the above, we are calling on Niger Delta leaders, critical stakeholders, compatriots to entirely ignore the politically motivated and fabricated allegations, and support him to achieve outcomes in his national assignment.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his sense of magnanimity and his laudable vision for the programme to transform the Niger Delta region.
“To suggest that Dr. Otuaro is corrupt and mismanaging the funds of PAP is to peddle a dangerous and politically motivated protest to distract the good works in PAP, must be disregarded in its entirety”.
