Following the prohibition of indicent dressing by the Delta State Police Command, Operation Delta Sweep have arrested over five young ladies at the ever busy Post Office roundabout in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The arrested ladies were matched into the back seat of the Hilux van of the combine team of the security agents.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Edafe Bright, had in a statement disclosed that security agents will clampdown on anyone with indicent dressing.
In the statement, Edafe disclosed that any one caught with indicent dressing would be made to pay N50,000 or be committed to Community Punishment.
Some of the arrested ladies were let go while some were taking away by the security agents in a tinted windscreen.
Though, it could not be ascertained if those arrested would be charged accordingly or the otherwise as after their arrest, the back tinted windscreen of the Hilux van was wind up probably to avoid those arrested from recognition.
A source who spoke on anonymous condition disclosed that over four young girls that were taken into custody at the back seat of their Hilux and taken away and I don’t know if they were being taken to police station or court.
