WHO records 90% decrease in Polio cases in Africa

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recorded more than 90 per cent decrease in polio outbreak in Africa in 2012, an official, Mr Basi Wadzin, has said. Wadzin is the State Coordinator of WHO in Plateau. He stated this at the administration of polio vaccines to children at the Primary Health Care Centre in Jos North Local Government Area organised by Rotary Club, District 9125. Leaders of the Niger Delta, under the auspices of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, have condemned the action of security operatives during their meeting in Port Harcourt. Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force took over the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, venue for the planned Chief Edwin Clark-led PANDEF, fourth quarter general meeting. Fugitive former militant, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, has lost some of his assets to the Federal Government, temporarily, over his evasion of the court to answer fraud charges. FG lists Fela’s house as national museum

The Ogun State Government, in conjunction with the Federal Government, has unveiled a plan  to immortalise the popular Ransome-Kuti family by turning their ancestral home in Abeokuta to a museum.
