Congo now Ebola-free says Minister

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) declared its month Ebola outbreak over on Saturday after 42 days without recording a new case of the virus. “I declare on this day, at midnight, the end of the outbreak of the hemorrhagic fever of the Ebola virus in DRC,’’ Minister of Health in the country, Mr Oly Ilunga, said in a statement. At least 60,000 ghost workers have been uncovered by the Federal Government since the introduction of the Bank Verification Number (BVN), Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said.
