One person has died following the collapse of part of an old building being demolished at Otolo-Nnewi, in the Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The deceased, identified as 25-year-old Bakeru Iwal, was reportedly trapped when a section of the structure suddenly collapsed during the demolition. The Anambra State Police Command said operatives attached to the Otolo Divisional Headquarters responded to the scene after receiving the report, cordoned off the area and commenced preliminary investigation.
