The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Delta State Chapter, Comrade Kenneth Okorie has advised Voluntary Youth Organizations in the State to live up to expectations towards Sustainable development of Delta State.
Delta NYCN Boss disclosed this to Newsmen today during the 2019 Delta State Management Meeting with all Voluntary Youth Organizations in the State, State Executive of the Council, Chapter Chairmen and State delegates of the Youth Council in the State at Keziah Hotel, Boji-Boji Owa, Agbor in Ika -South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Occasion which was widely attended by the Delta State Hon. Commissioner for Youths ably represented by the State Director for Youths in the Directorate of Youth Development, Dioru Sheho. E., Chief Youth Development Officer, Morka Benneth, erstwhile Delta State Chairman, NYCN, Comrade Dibia Ezekiel, State Elders of the Youth Council, and other dignitaries to mention but a few.
The number one Youth Leader in the State in his introductory Speech Commended the entire Youth Council for their immense Supports to his Administration since its inception and that of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, which he said has promoted peace and Security in the State.
Comrade Okorie thanked the State Government on their various Supports to the Youths in the State towards the reduction of high rate if unemployment amongst the youths and various empowerment programs that has helped them towards Economic Development, and self-independence.
Delta State Commissioner for Youths, Hon Ifeanyi Egwuyenga who spoke through his representative, Director for Youths, Mr. Dioru Sheho admonished the Youths to be steadfast and committed to peace and Security in State, work towards activities that will promote their self- sufficiency, improvement, independence and Economic liberation as the State Government will give them the needed Support to boost Youths empowerment schemes, employment opportunities and encourage them their various endeavors.
Some of the VYO’s Leaders in the State appealed to the State Government to consider the Youths in their various employment opportunities, empowerment schemes without given more credence to political Leaders in the State.
