Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Ughelli North Local Government of Delta state Ambassador Comrade Joe Onoberhie has joined the People Democratic Party, PDP citing unethical conduct of the party in recent times.
Onoberhie and his vice, secretary, Hon. Nathaniel Odisu, and Pastor Henry Omakpokpose and their followers were received by Chief of Staff to the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Festus Ovie Agas.
The defection of Onoberhie popularly known as Big Joe is the latest feat of the People Democratic Party, following the official defection of former APC leader, Olorogun Jaro Egbo an his HighVotage supporters to the party.
The former SDP chairman defection has caused trauma to the party projected Dr. Ovie Uwanogho as its Delta central senatorial candidate in 2019 general elections.
Dignitaries at the event includes, Rt Hon Festus Agas Chief of staff to Delta State Governor, Hon Rufus Edoja, former House of Assembly Member Ughelli North constituency II, Dr Theo Okpidi, leader PDP Ughelli North, Chief Moses Erabor, PDP leader Ughelli North and Comr. Ejovwoke ward 2/6 Chairman PDP, Chief Joe Enakireri PDP leader Ughelli North and party faithfuls.
