Isoko Monitoring Group (IMG) has applauded the governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the recent appointment of Chief Askia Ogieh as Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Chief Ovuozorie Macaulay, Managing Director, Warri and Environs Development Agencies and others
The group, in a congratulatory message signed by the President, Dr. Micheal Aziakpono Oke, expressed further satisfaction in the appointment of Hon Rev Catherine Ilolo, Hon Oviemuno Oghoore, Hon Churchill Amagada, Hon Johnson Erijo, Barr. Dr. Paul Owhe and Hon. Emmanuel Okoro.
According to him, it cannot be feigned that all have gone well with Isoko nation in terms of appointments and projects but he strongly appealed to the new appointees to collaborate among themselves, with those in executive and the honourable members representing lsoko nation at the state and national house of Assembly to properly project the interest and plight of lsoko people.
He also urged them to carry the people and the leaders at all level in determining solutions to their peculiar needs starting from the preparation of the annual budgets to the award and execution of projects. He added that besides making themselves available to the Isoko people in ways to advance the lsoko cause, it is also his desire that, they should be open to constructive criticism that will come from the people including the esteemed group.
He concluded by commending the amiable governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointments and also appealed for more appointments to well deserving lsoko sons and daughters, especially the youths
