Godwin Adode Donates Operational Vehicles To Security Operatives In Ughelli

The executive chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun Godwin Adode in his quest to reduce crime within Ughelli and its environs, has donated eight operational vehicles to local security operatives from the seven kingdom of the local government and Ughelli Area Command.
The vehicles were commissioned and handed over to the local security operatives commonly knowns as Bakassi to help in crime fighting.
Speaking during the presentation of vehicles and unveiling of newly acquired uniforms for the local vigilante, Hon Adode said, “The security of lives and properties of my people is my utmost priority and the provision of these security patrol vehicles will to a large extent, reduce the crimes wave and criminalities.
“This epoch making events becomes paramount as chief security officer of this great local government is in line with the three  points agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa with emphasis on security for the protection of lives and properties of its citizens in our locality.
“It is also a part of fulfillment of my electioneering promises during this second tenure of office in ensuring the provision of the necessary logistics to assist the security personnel for effective productivity.
“These presentation of security vehicles is not about any political party but to checkmate the high rate of crime and criminalities in the local government and I urge the vigilante to work in synergy with the security agencies to achieve the desired goals.”
Receiving the commissioned vehicle on behalf other community president generals, Chief Pius Omubaye, who lauded the gesture of the council chairman held that, Adode has fulfilled a major promise by providing more logistics for security in Ughelli North.
“We the seven clans, Uwheru, Evwreni, Ogor, Ughelli, Agbarha-Otor Orogun and Agbarho are grateful to the chairman for the presentation and we promised to make good use of the vehicles.
The Ughelli North Vigilante chairman, Mr Edafe Kporarho in his speech held that the provision of vehicles has boost their morals to crime fighting.
