Elder Mathew Otuokena Sworn In As Afiesere Treasurer

Elder Matthew Otuokena has been sworn in as the treasurer of the newly inaugurated central executive of Afiesere community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State

Otuokena was sworn-in along with Hon. Richard Aduvie as President, Olorogun Shikaleke as Vice President and 14 others.

Addressing newsmen after the swearing in ceremony, Otuokena expressed gratitude to God and the people of Afiesere community for the day a reality.

According to him, “Despite all the litigations, God saw us through and i am appealing to all my executive members to always have their trust in Him because without which we cannot do anything.

The community should expect good governance not just from me but from the entire executive because we are going to continue from the good part of the previous administration.

“With the emergence of Richard Ovweghrederowho as the president of the Afiesere central executive, the community should expect rapid development and i appealing to all aggrieved persons to shelve their swords for the interest and development of the community.

“Aduvie is an experienced man, with the likes of Olorogun Shikaleke Okiemute, Lucky Oleya and myself who was once the president of the community Hostcom chairman, we are in for developmental approach.

Speaking further, Otuokena said, “The Afiesere community will work with the executive of Ughelli Descendants Union, to ensure that there is peace within the kingdom and it’s neighbouring communities.

“And i want to use this medium to appeal to all sons and daughters of Afiesere community, Ughelli Kingdom to exhibit the spirit of love, oneness to achieve the goals of development.”

“I will use my wealth of experience as a one time Afiesere community leader, Hostcom chairman to help in building and bringing development to the doorsteps of our people.”
