UGHELLI-Performing Musicians and Employers Association of Nigeria, PMAN, Delta State chapter, has congratulated the state governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on his birthday just as he urges Deltans to stand by the State’s first family as they battle to overcome the corona virus infection.

The Delta state governor had earlier announced that he and his wife was test positive for Covid-19 and as such they have gone on isolation.

Speaking and praying for the quick recovery of the state governor, his wife, daughter and members of his executives, Delta State PMAN Governor, Evang. Quincy Tebite also known as Tsio Tsio disclosed that these are trying times for the first family and urged Deltans to remember them in their daily prayers.

Tebite said, “It is quite unfortunate that the Delta state governor and members of his family are victims of this covid-19, and I am not still surprise because despite the fact that the governor had always taken the precautionary measures against the spread of the pandemic, he contacted it and it goes to show that corona virus is not written on the forehead.

“Corona virus is real but one thing I know is that God in his position made it clear that those that put their trust in him will never be free from trials, so this is a trying period for the governor and I encourage him just like his usual words to us that covid-19 is not a death sentence and so long it is not a death sentence, he should look unto God that is the author and finisher of our faith.

Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa

“God that watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers and they that put their trust in the almighty God will not be put to shame and they are like mountain that will never be shaken.”

“Nigerians and Deltans in particular should adhere strictly to the measures put in place by the state government to forestall the spread of the disease, such as washing of hands, putting on of the nose mask and the keeping of the social distance.

And I want to also use this opportunity to wish Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa a happy birthday and pray God almighty to grant him the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state in this difficult time of corona virus pandemic. We know he is going to bounce back to his feet by the special grace of God.”
