Jealous housewife bathes rival with boiling water

A 51-year old woman, Grace Azagba, was on Tuesday brought before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly bathing her husband’s wife with boiling water. Azagba was arraigned alongside her 14-year old son (name withheld) on a two-count charge of conspiracy and grievous harm. The accused, who resides at Abule-Egba, Lagos, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. TB kills 1.6m yearly, UN calls for action

The UN has said no fewer than 1.6 million people are killed annually by tuberculosis(TB) and the disease would cost about one trillion dollars in economic loss by 2050. “Despite being curable and treatable, TB kills more than 1.6 million people every year and only about half the cases are diagnosed properly. “The disease also takes an enormous financial toll on economies: it is estimated that TB will cost about one trillion dollars by 2030,” the UN said. Microsoft has reportedly acquired GitHub, and could announce the deal as early as Monday. Bloomberg reports that the software giant has agreed to acquire GitHub, and that the company chose Microsoft partly because of CEO Satya Nadella. Business Insider first reported that Microsoft had been in talks with GitHub recently.
