2027: Adode, Oshasha Lead Ughelli North Ward 3/7 APC Leaders’ Mobilisation For ‘5/5’ Victory

…Stakeholders move to reconcile aggrieved members, strengthen party unity

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ughelli North Ward 3/7, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have called for unity among party members, urging aggrieved leaders and supporters to put their differences aside and work towards the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

The call was made at a meeting of ward leaders and stakeholders of Ughelli North Ward 3/7 convened by  Olorogun  Godwin Adode, former chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, popularly known as Coach Tete, and Olorogun Ovoke Oshasha in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking at the meeting, Adode said the gathering was organised to provide an opportunity for aggrieved members to express their concerns, resolve differences and strengthen unity within the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

He urged party faithful to return to their respective communities and polling units to mobilise support for the APC, expressing confidence that Ughelli North Ward 3/7 would deliver a five-over-five victory for the party.

According to him, the target is to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the APC senatorial candidate, House of Representatives candidate and House of Assembly candidate.

Adode said electoral victory would also strengthen the bargaining power of party members in their engagements with the state and federal governments.

Also speaking, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Abel Oshevire, commended Adode and Oshasha for bringing ward leaders and stakeholders together to address internal disagreements.

Oshevire, who served in the state legislature from 2007 to 2011, appealed to aggrieved members to forgive past wrongs, noting that political fortunes could change and that those seeking support today might need the support of others tomorrow.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for some members to raise concerns over inadequate engagement by certain local government leaders and poor road access to some communities.

Responding, the leaders acknowledged the concerns and urged members to remain patient while engaging relevant party and government authorities through appropriate channels.

In his remarks, the Ward 3/7 Chairman, Mr Christopher Adjarho, commended Adode and other leaders for convening the meeting, urging all stakeholders to close ranks and work for an overwhelming APC victory in 2027.

Adjarho appealed to members who felt sidelined to exercise patience, assuring them that efforts would be made to address their grievances. He also charged leaders to return to their respective units and intensify grassroots mobilisation for the party.

Other leaders and stakeholders whose spoke to newsmen at the meeting are, Mr Sam Kohwo, Oghenekaro Akpososo, convener of ‘Mimikay Political Movement’, Amb Emmanuel Omas Esamagu, and Comrade Egedi Kingsley Kilash.

They expressed support for the outcome of the meeting and pledged to mobilise support across their respective communities towards the APC’s five-over-five target in the 2027 general elections.
