A leading political pressure group in Ndokwa land, NdokwaForward, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, following the emergence of Delta State as the second best-governed state in Nigeria in the latest governance assessment conducted by the Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS).
The group described the recognition as a strong endorsement of Governor Oborevwori’s leadership and the successes recorded under his administration’s MORE Agenda, noting that the ranking reflects the government’s commitment to good governance, infrastructure development, economic growth, social inclusion, and efficient public service delivery.
In a statement jointly signed by Rt. Hon. Samuel Osasa Esq., Dr. George Ugbomah, and Chief Isaac Onyesom, NdokwaForward said Delta State’s position on the national governance index was a clear indication of the transformative policies and development initiatives being implemented across the state.
According to the group, Governor Oborevwori has consistently demonstrated dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people while maintaining prudent management of public resources.
The statement noted that the CIAPS ranking validates the administration’s investments in key sectors such as road infrastructure, healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, security, and rural development.
NdokwaForward added that the steady progress recorded across Delta State has positioned the state as a model of effective governance and responsible leadership in Nigeria.
The group also commended the governor for promoting a governance culture founded on inclusiveness, accountability, transparency, and equitable development, stressing that the achievement was the result of deliberate policy implementation and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Deltans.
It further stated that the national recognition confirms that the MORE Agenda has evolved beyond a campaign slogan into a practical framework for sustainable development and measurable progress, with communities across the state benefiting from projects and programmes aimed at improving living standards and expanding economic opportunities.
“Delta State’s emergence as Nigeria’s second best-governed state is a source of pride to all Deltans and a testament to the quality of leadership being provided by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. This achievement is a validation of the Governor’s developmental vision and a reflection of the confidence that independent assessors have in the direction of the state. We wholeheartedly congratulate His Excellency and the good people of Delta State on this remarkable feat,” the statement read.
NdokwaForward also congratulated the people of Delta State for their continued support of the administration, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration between government and citizens.
The group expressed confidence that Governor Oborevwori would build on the achievements already recorded and further strengthen Delta State’s position as a leading example of good governance, development, and prosperity in Nigeria.
