Delta Central Senate – 2027
Today, on this solemn and sacred observance of Good Friday, I join Christians across Delta Central, Nigeria, and the world in reflecting on the profound sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Good Friday is not just a remembrance of suffering — it is a powerful declaration of love in action, sacrifice with purpose, and hope born out of adversity.
The cross reminds us that true leadership is not defined by power, but by service, humility, and the willingness to bear responsibility for others.
At a time when our nation is confronted with economic hardship, insecurity, and growing division, the message of Good Friday calls us back to what truly matters:
Compassion over indifference
Unity over division
Service over self-interest
Justice anchored in truth
As a people, we must recommit ourselves to these enduring values — in our homes, our communities, and our leadership.
For us in Delta Central, this is also a moment to reflect on how we can build a society where:
Every young person has opportunity
Every family feels secure
Every voice is heard
And governance reflects the dignity of the people
I encourage all Christians and all people of goodwill to use this sacred season to pray for our nation — for wisdom in leadership, peace in our communities, and a renewed sense of collective purpose.
Let us also extend love beyond words — by lifting one another, supporting the vulnerable, and standing together as one people.
As we remember the sacrifice of Christ today, may we each find the strength to become instruments of hope, healing, and transformation in our society.
May God bless Delta Central.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
