My people of Ughelli South!
For 26 years, since 1999, we have been going round and round in the same political circle. The same group of politicians, the same empty promises, the same politics of neglect.
And today, look at our communities.
Our roads are still bad.
Our youths are still unemployed.
Our riverine communities are still forgotten.
Our great local government, one of the most populated in Delta State, is still struggling for the development it deserves. Infact we are the least developed LGA in Delta State.
My people, let me ask you a simple question.
If the same people have been in charge for more than two decades and the situation has not changed… should we continue doing the same thing again?
Even the great scientist Albert Einstein once said that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is insanity.
And we in Ughelli South is not insane.
We are intelligent people.
We are a hardworking people.
We are proud people.
What we have lacked is a fearless voice that will stand up and fight for Ughelli South.
That is why I, Ufuoma Steven Atare, have stepped forward.
Not for personal ambition.
But because Ughelli South deserves better.
If you give me your mandate:
I will speak boldly for Ughelli South.
I will fight for development projects for our communities.
I will push for opportunities for our youths.
I will ensure our riverine communities are not forgotten.
And I will make sure the voice of Ughelli South is heard loudly where decisions are made.
My people, the time has come.
The time to end politics of recycling failure.
The time to rise for the future of our children.
The time to change the narrative of Ughelli South.
When we stand together, no one can silence our voice.
And remember our movement, our mission, our slogan:
OUR VOICE!
OUR FUTURE!
Thank you and God bless Ughelli South!
