“And being a matter that is sub-judiced, there is not much I can say in order not to prejudge the decision of the entire court.
“We have evidence that indicates that he has been practicing law without the qualification to practice law and those are the things that were presented before the court today. So it’s for the court to take decisions in the appropriate time.”
On how to curb the menace of fake lawyers, Mr Oruma said, “There is little anybody can do to prevent the commission of crime because crime is dysfunctional in every society.
“The legal profession is becoming very juicy.
“So people are trying to get away with it and benefit from it without passing through the due process of becoming a member.
“And that is why things are the way they are and why people who are arrested are being arrested, the long arm of the law will always catch anybody. It may not be immediately, but it’s definitely a definite end to a criminal.”
