Nigerian girls face their traffickers in Paris court

A verdict is expected at the end of this month in the trial of 16  members of a mostly female network of Nigerian human traffickers operating forced prostitution rings in France. The traffickers went on trial last week at the High Court of Paris, facing their accusers as the trafficked women testified to being lied to, beaten and raped. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and its Joint Venture (JV) Partner, Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) ltd., have pledged commitment to implement Okpai Phase 2 project to increase electricity generation with 500 MegaWatts (MW) . Two new deaths from Ebola and seven new confirmed cases have been recorded in Democratic Republic of Congo, the health ministry said on Tuesday.
