Miami — Florida officials said on Thursday that four people have been found dead in the rubble of a collapsed South Florida pedestrian bridge where the frantic search for any survivors continued past nightfall. Fire Chief Dave Downey said at an evening news briefing that four deceased people were found amid the chaotic scene of concrete rubble and crumpled vehicles. Dubious estate agent gets 1,230 years imprisonment

The Lagos High Court in Igbosere has sentenced an estate agent to 1,230 years in prison for duping 101 prospective tenants. The convict, Mr.Babatunde Habeeb of 59 Oriola, in Alapere Ketu area of Lagos, was said to have duped the tenants of the sum of N28 million. Presiding Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye found Habeeb guilty of the 82 counts charge of conspiring with his brother Alahaji Ishola Salawudeen who is still at large. Glaucoma: Optometric association canvasses free eye screening

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta said that 13,000 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) were yet to be collected in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta. Professor Nwabueze faults court ruling on reordered election sequence

Professor Ben Nwabueze, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has faulted an order of the federal high court, Abuja, restraining the national assembly from overriding President Muhammadu Buhari on the election reordering bill.
