Tanker Accident: Omote Commiserate With Ohoror Community Over Destruction

National coordinator of Elohim Political Forum, EPF, Prince Emmanuel Omote has commiserated with the people of Ohoror community, in Ughelli North local government area of Delta state over the destruction of property worth millions of naira in a  petroleum tanker accident.
Omote in his condolence message to Ohoror community said, “The destruction caused by the incident is massive and I pray God to console the affected families at this time that Nigeria economy is not friendly.
Ohoror community on Thursday had over 30 houses burnt, two persons a driver and his conductor died with properties destroyed in an accident involving a petroleum tanker and a truck loaded with granite.
According to Omote, “The Ohoror community and Ughelli North local government is yet to recover from its recent invasion by suspected Fulani herdsmen before this is happening again.
“Just last year, 10 persons killed by herdsmen were buried amidst tears and their various families are yet to get over it.
“The government should investigate this misfortune and provide a lasting solution in other to avoid future occurrence by providing a parking lot for the trailer and tanker.
“The community will continue to be at risk if urgent measures is not taken by our leaders, because these tankers are parking at residential area and it is dangerous when they are loaded with liquefied petroleum products.
“Though, Two lives were lost in the process, I want to commend the leaders and youths of the community that stood firmly to curtailed the spread of the fire”.
