Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has felicitated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on her 66th birthday, commending her contributions to public service and national development.
Dafinone, in a goodwill message issued to mark the occasion, described the First Lady’s journey in public service as a testament to a life dedicated to faith, compassion and service to humanity.
He noted that Oluremi Tinubu’s public service career had spanned her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State, her years as Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District and her current role as First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to him, the First Lady has continued to demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, social investment, agriculture and economic empowerment.
Dafinone said the initiatives had provided interventions targeted at women, youths and vulnerable Nigerians, adding that such programmes underscored the importance of people-centred leadership.
“Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, you have consistently demonstrated that leadership is ultimately about service to humanity,” he said.
The Delta Central senator, who extended the felicitations on behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central, prayed for continued wisdom, sound health and divine strength for the First Lady.
He wished Oluremi Tinubu a happy 66th birthday and expressed his highest esteem and warm regards to her on the occasion.
